Grimmway Farms optimizes efficiencies with Trimble Asset Tracking

grimmway.pngTrimble is delighted to announce that Grimmway Farms has rolled out its Fleet Location and Asset Tracking solutions to optimise its field operations and boost productivity. 

Grimmway Farms is a global leader in the produce industry, offering year round production of 60 different vegetables. Over the past 15 years, it has diversified into an organic vegetable business, harvesting all year round across California, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Florida and supplying its organic produce to supermarket giants such as Whole Foods, Costco and Wal-Mart.

Trimble has been able to help Grimmway in managing the inventory of its portable assets, which include powered assets such as irrigation pumps and non-powered assets such as trailers. Trimble's Asset Tracking solution will help Grimmway to simply and quickly monitor the location of its assets 24/7 and better understand levels of utilization to determine if it is over or under allocating resources between regions. It will also help to determine if assets are in need of maintenance.
